10 essentials to pack on every trip
Packing: some people love it some people hate it. I always find it helpful to write a list of everything I need and use it when I pack and unpack. Use my essentials packing list to never forget an important item again!
Portable phone charger: while using my phone a lot while I'm away its always a pain when the batter dies mid way through the day, or even on long haul flights my phone has died before. Having a portable charger while you're away is always a good idea, especially if you need your phone in case of emergency.
Painkillers: whether you've had a heavy evening on the cocktails the night before, your feet are hurting after a hike around the mountains or you've got just a basic headache, I always take painkillers away with me
Slippers: although some hotels provide you with slippers that you can take home with you, its always nice to bring your own slippers for when you're chilling in your hotel room. If you're ever unsure if you're allowed to take the hotel slippers home, check to see if they're on the room price list
Water bottle: bringing a water bottle with you rather than buying bottled water everyday is an easy step to travel sustainably
Aftersun: if you're like me and no matter how much factor 50 you put you're still going to end up looking like a lobster by the end of your trip, always bring the after sun with you and slather it on like there's no tomorrow
Sunglasses -something I always forget to pack as I don't want to squish them by putting them in my suitcase and I tend to fly early morning so they wouldn't be on top of my head so it's always something I forget but if not the most important essential item for a trip!
Head pillow and blanket: not even just for long haul flights but because I find it so difficult to get comfy on planes, and I don't know about anyone else but I get so cold, so a blanket to get nice and cosy is a must.
Underwater camera: unless you've got a fancy phone that is waterproof, having an underwater camera to take those swimming selfies is on the list!
Lip balm: the heat and cold can really dry out your lips so keep them moisturised with an SPF lip balm which you can get from most pharmacies or cosmetic shops
Emergency contact list - god forbid anything bad happens, you will need emergency contacts to give in those situations.
